In preparation for the new shelter opening in early October, the Light House is asking for donations of household supplies to be dropped off at 10 Hudson St. from noon to 4 p.m., on Sept. 12. Due to space limitations, the Light House asks that items are not shipped to or dropped off at the current shelter on West Street.

Needed items include sheets, towels, pillows, kitchen utensils and laundry detergent. The Light House has registries for specific items at several stores in Annapolis, including Sam's Club; Macy's and JCPenney at the mall; and Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target at Annapolis Towne Centre. When searching for a registry, enter either "Light House" in the organization field or "Annapolis" as the first name and "Light House" as the last name.
