The fifth and final county high school competition was held Saturday at Anne Arundel Community College where 118 students from 15 public and private high schools competed in the last round of 2011.
Severn School took first place on Saturday with Annapolis and Severna Park high schools tied for second place.
The end-of-year ranking has Meade High School in first place, Severna Park High second and Severn School in third place.
The following students got all six questions right on the individual test:
- Luke Hart-Moynihan/ Annapolis High School.
- Mary Kate Montgomery/ Severn School.
- Nick Paskal/ Severna Park High School.
- Logan Crew/ Meade High School.
No team received a perfect score. At the end of the competition there was a relay where teams of four or five students answered five questions. Participants had to pass forward their answer to the next person who would use that answer in solving his problem.
There were two teams that won the relay:
A team from Severna Park and a team from North County

First Place: Logan Crew of Meade High School.
Second Place: Alex Schulman of Key School.
Third Place: Chris Praley of Severna Park High School.
Fourth Place: Luke Hart-Moynihan of Annapolis High School.
Fifth Place: Daniel Haller of North County High School and Mary Kate Montgomery of Severn School.
Sixth Place: Ryan Sharp of Severn School and Nick Paskal of Severna Park High School and Jon Lin of Severna Park High School
Certificate for the Most Improved Individual: Andrew Durkin of Indian Creek School.
Certificate for the Most Improved School: Meade High School.
