Murphy Commercial Demonstrates Significant Growth in 2011

Murphy Commercial Real Estate (www.murphycre.com), a full service brokerage firm that specializes in commercial properties and commercial tenant representation in the Baltimore Washington corridor, has proved that size does not regulate success with their significant growth in 2011.  Since the firm’s inception five years ago, the firm has grown tremendously and in their yearend report announced a total of 67 new sale and lease transactions during 2011, with many more still in the “pipeline”.

“We have an incredibly young, yet experienced team and represent  a very special group of clients that have helped to establish our name within the Baltimore-Washington corridor, particularly Anne Arundel County, said Murphy Commercial Real Estate’s founder, Dennis Murphy. “Our client relationships and our recognition as one of the top commercial firms in this market continues to grow, “ he continued.

Murphy Commercial boasts personalized and professional service to every client, while maintaining the valued aspects of a “traditional” real estate firm.  Each member of the Murphy Commercial team specializes in different sectors within the commercial real estate industry, ultimately creating a well-rounded and extremely knowledgeable staff.

“We have seen very significant year-to-year growth in both our Landlord and Tenant representation assignments, which I feel is directly related to the quality of service we strive to provide our clients and our ‘go get em’ attitude”, said John Rosso, Vice President of Murphy Commercial.  “We have established strong relationships with both local and regional clients who frequently list property or ask us to represent their interests in locating and leasing commercial space.  I am confident our growth will continue and look forward to an exciting new chapter in the Murphy Commercial story”, he continues.

Significant transactions in 2011 for Murphy Commercial include the sale of 716 Giddings Avenue in Annapolis, Rexel Electric building in Waldorf, Revere Bank’s 3rd location in Millersville, Blue Water Media’s new headquarters in Greenbelt, Lou Lou Boutiques’ and Venable LLP's new locations in Downtown Annapolis.

“With historically low interest rates, we have seen a number of company owners looking to acquire properties rather than lease.  The optimal lending terms for owner- occupants has generated new business for real estate brokers,” says Colin Penoyar, Vice President of Murphy Commercial.  “We have been able to help many clients save money and find the right location for their business”, he continues.

The team is also very involved within the local community. Mr. Murphy serves as an active member of the Board of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber and past President of Anne Arundel Commercial Industrial Association (AACIA). John serves as Vice President of AACIA and on the board of Next Gen of Anne Arundel County. Colin is a past board member of the AACIA and President of the Rotaract Club of Annapolis.

To accommodate their continued growth, the firm recently relocated to a brand new building located at 635 N. Bestgate Road in Annapolis, MD.

Murphy Commercial offers services including: Commercial Real Estate Sales and Leasing, Tenant and Landlord Representation, Investment Property Sales, Acquisition and Land Assembly, Development Consulting, Business Brokerage and Property Appraisal.  Murphy Commercial strives to provide exceptional service and value-added results through a team approach.
