South Maryland Little League now has fall baseball registration open for ball players. The program boasts the accomplishment of sending all four age division post season All-Star teams to the Maryland State Championships this past spring.

The fall season will offer 4 divisions of play for athletes:

• 8U ~ 60’ bases, coaches willl pitch from a 45’ mound

• 10U ~ 60' bases, 45' mound

• 12U ~ 70' bases, 50' mound

• 14U ~ 90' bases, 60'6'' mound
  
  
  

The fall season will utilize the age cut-off date of May 1, 2012 for player eligibility. For example, if an athlete was 12 years of age for the spring season, then they would be promoted to the 14U division for play this fall.

Practices will begin the weekend of August 20 and continue through October, with games beginning on the weekend of September 10. The season will end the weekend of October 30, with games starting at either 1 or 3:30 p.m.

A special note for parents and players to keep in mind, with the fall season the league will not keep records or scores updated on the website. The intention for fall baseball is to develop skills and prepare players for the spring season of 2012. This season will also include a pitching restriction of 2 innings per game for all age divisions.
