The City of Annapolis encourages residents to come out and be a part of the "Growing Native" seed collection project at Truxton Park on Sunday, October 23rd. Volunteers are needed to collect acorns and other hardwood tree seeds, which will be donated and planted in state nurseries in Maryland and surrounding states. After they start to grow, the new trees will later be replanted  and used for the restoration of streamside forests along the vast watershed. Volunteers will meet at the Truxton Pool parking lot at 9am.  To learn more about the efforts of Growing Native, visit www.growingnative.org.
