$1,000 of Stereo Equipment Stolen From Car
Sports utility vehicle broken into, stereo stolen, as Hurricane Sandy struck Annapolis.
Stereo equipment was stolen from a Dodge Durango in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue early Monday morning, according to Annapolis Police.
The owner's girlfriend told police she looked out a second-floor window around about 2 a.m. and noticed the rear hatch to the Durango was open. She told her boyfriend, the car's owner, who went outside and discovered the driver's window was down.
A Pioneer flip out DVD/CD/radio was gone from the dashboard, and 15-inch Kicker subwoofers and an amp were missing from the rear cargo area. Police estimate the total value to be $1,075.
The man told police he locked the car's doors, but he left his windows open about three inches to allow for air flow.

"he left his windows open about three inches to allow for air flow."
Something sounds fishy here...it was raining on Sunday and into Monday. But he leaves his window open to allow air flow? It isn't even hot outside!
