Anne Arundel Patch: What was the winning word you spelled correctly during your school's spelling bee?
Alyssa Hall: Jingoism

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you like about your school?
Alyssa:
I enjoy writing in Language Arts, and participating in the school variety show.

Anne Arundel Patch: Do you participate in extracurricular activities or sports?
Alyssa: I take piano lessons and play field hockey year round.

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you want to do when you grow up?
Alyssa: I would like to be a journalist who covers news stories around the world.

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you like to do for fun?
Alyssa: I enjoy reading adventure books, ice skating with friends, and going to see movies.

Alyssa is one of 32 students set to compete in the 25th annual Anne Arundel County Spelling Bee on Feb. 23. Patch congratulates all of the students on making it to the county competition!
