7 Arrested in Prostitution Sting
Officers conducted the operation after hearing complaints about prostitution activity in the 200 block of West Street.
Seven men were arrested on April 19 as a result of a prostitution sting set up by Annapolis police.
Police said the men face charges of prostitution by any means and assignation by any means. Those charged include Annapolis residents Luis M. Chimborazo, 45; Sameer Raj Guru, 33; Domitelio Lara Ramos, 34; Dionisio Reyes Villa, 27; and Walter Antonio Rodriguez, 36. John G. Savvas, 38, of Holiday, FL, was also charged.
A seventh person was also arrested but later released and transported to the Anne Arundel Medical Center for an unrelated medical condition. He was issued a critical summons.
With the exception of Savvas, who was also charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances, the men were released by the court commissioner, a police release states. Savvas was released after posting a $300 bond.
The Annapolis Police Department set up the operation after hearing complaints from residents about people soliciting prostitutes in the 200 block of West Street.
