Annapolis Crime: Verizon Store Burglary, Car Theft, Assault

The following arrest information was supplied by the Annapolis Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

The Annapolis Police Department (APD) provided the following information on recent incidents in the city:

Burglary—Someone smashed the glass of the front door of the Verizon store in the Bay Ridge Plaza on Hillsmere Drive and stole items from the store, police said. The incident reportedly happened sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Police said the following items were stolen: a red Dell Inspiron laptop computer, a black Verizon Droid Bionic phone, black Motorola Motorokr JBL speakers, four black Jabra Extreme 2 Bluetooth headsets, and a black Jabra BT2080 Bluetooth headset.

Auto Theft—Police said an Annapolis man let someone he knew stay overnight at his home on Friday in the 900 block of Central Avenue. Sometime overnight, the man stole the victim's vehicle, laptop and cell phone. Officers said they found the suspect and all the stolen items, which were returned. Police charged Keith Edmonds, 30, of the 300 block of Kidwell Avenue in Centreville with auto theft, theft, using the credit card of another, fraud and possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia. He is being held on $35,000 bond.

Assault—Police charged Miliam Lopez, 30, of the 500 block of Annapolitan Lane, Annapolis, with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Police said at 8:15 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Belle Drive, she assaulted a woman after a previous disagreement. They said Lopez punched the victim in the face and slammed her head into the sidewalk several times. She was released after posting $10,000 bond.
