Annapolis Crime: Police Report Man with Stab Wounds Transported to Hospital

Man Transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with Stab Wounds—Police said a 24-year-old Annapolis man was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center early Tuesday morning, where he was treated for five stab wounds and one laceration.
Police responded to the the 500 block of South Cherry Grove Avenue at around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday for a reported stabbing. The officer reported seeing a man with blood-soaked jeans and asked the man if he’d been stabbed. The man reportedly told him he had been stabbed but could not provide a description of the person who stabbed him, where the person went, or where the incident occurred.
There was a woman present who said she was the victim’s girlfriend, according to police. She reportedly told police she arrived on the scene after getting a call from her cousin that her boyfriend was fighting with someone, and said she saw a man run from the scene.
Police searched for suspects or witnesses but could not find anyone, according to the report.
The victim had one small stab wound and a longer laceration on his upper left arm and two small stab wounds to his upper left torso. Police said there were also two stab wounds on his left leg.
Man Arrested in Connection with Reported Sexual Assault—A 29-year-old Annapolis man faces multiple charges in connection with a reported sexual assault in the 1100 block of Madison Street. Rico Wallace was charged with third-degree sex offense, fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault, according to police.
The victim told police Wallace, who is reportedly an acquaintance of hers, subjected her to unwanted sexual contact, according to Tuesday’s daily incident report. According to police, the victim pushed Wallace away, ran into an apartment and called police. Wallace was being held on $25,000 bond as of Tuesday morning, police said.
CDs, Change Taken from Vehicle on West Street—Police said someone smashed the back window of a truck and took several items (including CDs, loose change and papers) from inside the vehicle. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of West Street between 10 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, police said.
