Annapolis Homeowner Linked to Secret Service Prostitution Scandal
Reports indicate Greg Stokes was a supervisor with President Obama's security detail in Colombia and online records confirm he owns a home in Hillsmere Estates.
There is an Annapolis connection to last week's scandal involving prostitutes and Secret Service agents who were members of President Barack Obama's security detail in Cartagena, Columbia.
Greg Stokes was one of two supervisors identified by The Washington Post as being "ousted" from the agency on Wednesday for involvement in the incident. Stokes owns a home in the 100 block of Lake View Drive in Hillsmere Estates in Annapolis, according to online property records.
He was also identified as being from Annapolis in a New York Daily News story that said Stokes is divorced and his former wife is also a Secret Service agent.
According to The Washington Post, it was recommended that Stokes be fired from the agency but he may have the opportunity to appeal. The article states that he has nearly two decades of experience and was sent on the trip to supervise dozens of agents in preparation for Obama's arrival.
The scandal made headlines last week when it was revealed that Secret Service agents allegedly engaged in heavy drinking, visited strip clubs and refused to pay prostitutes on April 11.

This is what the Patch is about? Outing where the guy lives? I thought we had something better than the Crapital with this online paper... Maybe I will start printing out your posts for our crab table this summer... Hope nothing happens to the guy based on your providing his address... Shame on you. He was wrong, but why perpetuate it?

I completely agree. Disclosing his location is low-rent and very much something a blogger would do. I thought this paper wanted to be more than a glorified blog. I guess not.

What is Patch.com supposed to do, not publish something that relates to our area that is already being reported in the National news? I learned about the agents being from Severna Park and Annapolis from national news outlets. These individuals have lost their right to privacy when they broke laws and codes of conduct. I feel badly for their violated families and neighbors who must survive the behavior of these men. Frankly, as a neighbor, I would rather know about something like this than not.
