Annapolis Mall Sues Restaurant for Unpaid Rent
Lawsuit alleges McCormick & Schmick’s owes the mall for unpaid rent and late fees.
McCormick & Schmick’s closed its doors in January at the Westfield Annapolis mall location but the seafood restaurant reportedly still owes thousands in unpaid rent.
The Capital reported that the mall is suing the restaurant chain for $125,000 in unpaid rent and late fees. The lawsuit was filed on May 15 in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, according to online court records.
In January, Patch reported that McCormick & Schmick’s closed the location at Westfield Annapolis mall after it was purchased by Landry's Restaurants Inc.
Christi Wallace, marketing director at Westfield Annapolis, told Patch in January that the restaurant had a long-term lease and mall officials are working on finding another tenant for the location.
