Police Seek Help Finding Theft Suspects
Two men were caught by a Safeway security camera while trying to flee the store without paying for more than $600 in DVDs.
Annapolis police are trying to identify the two men caught on camera in connection with the theft of more than $600 worth of DVDs from the Safeway on 1781 Forest Dr.
The store manager noticed the two men filling their baskets with DVDs on Saturday afternoon at about 4:15 p.m, said Detective Amy Miguez. The manager walked up to the men and asked them what they were doing. The pair turned and ran out of the store.
One of the suspects dropped his basket full of DVD's as he fled—its contents were valued at about $200. The other suspect held onto his basket, and it is estimated there was about $400 worth of merchandise inside.
