Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and fortunately here in Annapolis we have more than a few great spots to choose from.

And it's no easy task to pick your favorite, at least for me. It's also always fun to experiment and try new places.

Which brings us to our inaugural Best Of Patch contest. Based on votes, comments and reviews, the winner is Miss Shirley's Cafe.

Reader Lenore Lerner apparently summed up other fan's sentiments when she cast her vote.

"Miss Shirley's is really great! Now I know why it's the favorite in Baltimore!" she said.
