Bites Nearby: Treating Yourself to Breakfast
Does anyone ever want to be in the kitchen ever again after Thanksgiving? Let alone first thing in the morning?
The holiday season is officially under way and it brings with it lots of cooking and lots of company.
Give yourself a morning break from the kitchen and enjoy breakfast out of the house. Here are some of Patch’s favorite breakfast spots. What are yours?
Greater Annapolis
Grump's Cafe in Hillsmere is synonymous with breakfast. So much so that its staff comes to work in their pajamas. The breakfast food is good, but don't forget the bloody Mary's and mimosas.
At The Main Ingredient the deserts on display can be somewhat distracting as you enjoy your breakfast. There can be a line on some weekend mornings, but that's just a testament to the taste.
Edgewater
Wharfside Restaurant has a breakfast menu that is sure to please, including real grits (not instant), crabcakes with poached eggs, Eggs Benedict, pancakes, French toast and of course a full bar including Bloodies and Mimosas. The only problem is that sometimes there is a wait for a table.
Severna Park
Between the Breakfast Shoppe, Donut Shack and Chris Restaurant, Severna Parkers have several breakfast options to choose from.
Broadneck
Residents of the peninsula know to pick up a fresh dozen at Naval Bagels.
Odenton
The Daily Diner opens at 8 a.m. and serves its breakfast items any time of the day—except on Mondays when the Odenton eatery is closed.
Glen Burnie
It’s the battle of the diners in Glen Burnie. Who gets your vote? Mikie’s Diner, Honey Bee Diner or Bob Evans?
