UPDATE: (11:06 a.m.) The Annapolis Police Department reported a single-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning involving a bucket truck on Route 665 at Chinquapin Round Road.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 6:24 a.m. Wednesday. The driver and sole occupant of the bucket truck was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with unknown injuries, according to a media release.

Police closed one lane of Route 665, but left it open to traffic leaving Annapolis. Route 665 was re-opened to traffic at approximately 11 a.m.

Heavy equipment was needed to remove the bucket truck from the road, according to police.
