City Council to Hold Closed Session Monday

The Annapolis City Council will meet behind closed doors to obtain legal advice at 6 p.m. before its regular session on Monday.

 

The Annapolis City Council will hold a closed session to receive "legal advice on legal matters" on Monday at 6 p.m., according to a press release.

The council lists the topic of discussion as: quarterly update on litigation.

Mayor Josh Cohen and the aldermen may hold a session that's closed to the public and media under Maryland State Government Article Sections § 10-508 (a)(7): "To consult with counsel to obtain legal advice on a legal matters."

The regular, open session of City Council is set to start at 7 p.m.

Wonder if its about potential lawsuit to the City from Reserve at Quiet Waters Development? Costs of legal defense cannot be paid for with bonds, they must come directly from tax dollars. Who else do we think might be suing the City soon?
