Looks like most of the cooling centers are only open on Friday. Maybe Anne Arundel should open up some beaches this weekend.

Tim, having no access to anything but my Eton crank radio, I had no way of knowing where the "cooling centers" were; God forbid there is a "next time," can you tell everyone what radio station to listen to--and/or send word to WNEW (which I believe is 99.1 FM)--or tell us the best way to find out? I still don't have service on my Verizon land-line, and haven't for the past four days, so couldn't make calls to any number I didn't already know, or send e-mails, or surf the web. I called West County Library, and their recording only said they were closed on Sundays in the summer--but I didn't want to bother the Anne Arundel County police, figuring they already had enough to do.
