Crews Battle Fuel Truck Fire in Annapolis
Fire officials say a 3,000-gallon fuel truck caught fire on Edgewood Road, but no injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished quickly.
Fire officials said a 3,000-gallon fuel truck caught fire on Edgewood Road in Annapolis Tuesday afternoon.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton said crews responded to the fire at 3:24 p.m. The Anne Arundel Fire Department worked with the city of Annapolis Fire Department to battle the blaze.
As of 4:05 p.m., Hamilton said the fire was under control and crews, along with the Maryland Department of the Environment, are working to prevent any runoff from the fuel into nearby waterways.
There are no reported injuries and, at this time, officials do not know what caused the fire.
