Officers Call Alexander 'Lookout' in Drug Deal Charges
Alexander's colleagues accuse him in the charging documents of being a "lookout."
Anne Arundel County police Cpl. Rick Bobby Alexander, arrested Friday on charges related to dealing drugs, is accused by colleagues of being a “lookout” who “created a substantial risk of death or serious physical injury.”
Full details of Alexander’s alleged crimes and the events leading to his arrest are disclosed in Anne Arundel County District Court charging documents, which were obtained Monday by Patch. (See attachments for full documents.)
Alexander, a Pasadena resident, allegedly warned “approximately five” suspects by telephone of an impending drug bust in the 1300 block of Juniper Street in Shady Side. He was on duty during the raid, police said in a press release.
“We knew you guys were coming, we got a call from Officer Alexander saying the SWAT team is behind the Domino’s gearing up to hit your house right now,” a person identified as Suspect No. 1 told police, according to charging documents.

A female identified as Suspect No. 2 told police Alexander called her at 9:58 p.m. Thursday saying “police were going to ‘hit your house.’”
The second suspect also picked Alexander out of a photo lineup of six Anne Arundel police officers, documents state.
“Officer Alexander’s personal telephone was subsequently recovered from his assigned patrol vehicle, and call log information on the phone revealed that his phone had received Suspect #2’s call at the time it was placed,” charging documents state.
Alexander is charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana plus three other charges. If convicted, he could face up to $45,000 in fines and 30 years in prison.
Alexander pleaded guilty and was fined $60 in 1995 by the Department of Natural Resources for “driving in a non-designated area,” according to online court records.

Who's the guy in the photo? The one on the pink velvet chair with a cat sitting on the top of it? I don't think that he's the officer....since his photo was shown yesterday.

A reader uploaded the photo but I deleted it due to its irrelevance. Patch articles allow users to submit photos but I removed the option for this post.

i have a lot of respect for his fellow officers for taking him down so quickly, and not leaving any bruises or lumps for putting their lives in grave danger. The raid could of gone really bad had they had guns in the house.

I am happy to report that the residents of the house on Juniper Street where the drugs were before the tip-off had a moving van there last weekend. The house now appears to be vacant. Good riddence!!! Too bad Cpl. Alexander got involved with these lowlifes. He had responded to issues in our community in the past and had presented himself in a professional manner. Drug dealers have no place in Shady Side -- let alone Avalon Shores.
