Bates Middle School is being recognized by The George Lucas Educational Foundation as a school that works.
According to the school's PTA blog, crews are on site from May 15-18 to film "arts integration at work."
"What an honor to be chosen, but of course, we knew already that our kids were getting SMART through ART!!" wrote PTA member Lisa Pline in the blog post.
Through the website Edutopia.org, the foundation posts videos and information about best practices at exceptional schools.

Congratulations teachers & staff at Bates!
I heard that the camera crew filmed Ms Burke's 6th grade science class creating a dance to illustrate the difference between planetary "rotation" and "revolution".
Cool school.
