There has been much debate about needing a photo id when you vote. Given that we need to present a photo id for just about any other important transaction we make (applying for a job, renting an apartment, applying for a bank loan or checking account), I don't understand why some people are so against it. At the same time, I don't really understand why some people are so adamantly in favor of requiring photo ids at the voting booth, given that there is not so much evidence for it. Then again, I don't see how you could possibly gather convincing evidence because our ballots are private (other than if the person was dead or at a different address). What does concern me is the big juicy target of voter computer hacking. I have not heard *any* politician address this issue. How do you propose to keep computer hackers from changing the results of the election?

Fred Smith, founder of FEDEX, says the discovery of vast amounts of natural gas in shale formations is a game changer and near providential. He believes that coupled with conservation and a plan to move to alternative fuels, immediate adoption of an energy strategy to create the infrastructure to make natural gas available for large trucks on our Interstate system could make the U. S. energy independent for the first time since he created FEDEX. It would also create untold new jobs and keep 70 to 80 Billion dollars in this country rather than spending it in the Middle East. Would you commit to implementing that plan immediately, and if not, why not?
Fred Smith, founder of FEDEX believes the country's immense shale gas resource, along with shale oil deposits in places like Texas and North Dakota, could help make the U.S. energy independent for the first time since he founded FedEx. But, he says, only if these resources are coupled with conservation and a move to alternative fuels.

President Obama,
You have instructed the Defense Contractors who are required by law to give notice to the employees who will be laid of due to sequestration, to ignore that law. AND you will use my tax dollars to provide them with legal fees to defend themselves for breaking that law. Doesn't this make you a criminal? Martin Lucas

Actually, Martin, it was the Department of Labor and the Department of Defense who tried to dissuade contractors from complying with the WARN Act, which requires employers who are facing massive layoffs (based on percentages of total workforce) to forewarn their employees that they may be losing their incomes. I haven't seen anything that says the Government will pay for legal defenses, but I do know that major contractors like Lockheed-Martin and BAE Systems have refused to assume the ostritch pose. (DOL and DoD are worried about the impact on the forthcoming election **and** the holiday sales forecast, which has retailers rubbing their palms in delight.) I would advise everyone who might be affected to be very conservative about their spending, this Christmas and Chanukah, because whether sequestration (which involves indiscriminate across-the-board cuts of almost all programs, regardless of merit) or the Congressionally-initiated cutback needed to keep us from going over the cliff occurs, it's going to happen. Have an old-fashioned holiday, one present each, and throw an after-season party to celebrate, if we aren't all on the unemployment lines by then.

I would ask Mitt Romney:
"Mr. Romney, why did you lie in the first debate about 3-4 times more often than President Obama. Fact checkers and leading media outlets like the Associated Press have shown you lied at least 27 times in the 38 minutes you spoke. You told blatant inaccuracies about your healthcare plan, about unemployment figures and other topics. I thought the Republican Party was the party of integrity.
With all of your lying, how can American voters expect you to tell the truth with your promises to them -- should you win the election? "

I would ask President Obama why he has left our troops in Afghanistan with these ridiculous and dangerous "rules of engagement" that leaves them open to being murdered by the very people they are supposed to be helping. We are losing more of our young men and women because they are not allowed to protect themselves.

I'd ask why the POTUS doesn't know his facts when he's been the leader of the free world for 4 years. I'd ask if he'll spend more time if he's re-elected in actually trying to solve our problems instead of playing golf and making ridiculous speeches.

So what if Mitt Romney is Mormon. This election has no bearing on his religion, but how he can turn this country back on it's original path---traditional founding principles and capitalism. Or do you want President Obama's way--trampeling our constitution and total radicalization which is socialism? This is the choice come election day. And furthermore, my strong opinion is that the president is a muslim, believe me he's no christian!

Hello! As a member of the Alternative media, it is quite apparent to anyone who is now 'awake' that the powers that be are all members of the same team. Whether Obama or Romney or Bush or Clinton, the wars have never ended, the 'false flag' attacks keep on coming, the media continues to spew their endless lies, the mass majority of people remain 'sound asleep' while the bankers and corrupt politicians keep robbing the rest of us blind. Will either one of you step up to the plate, end the Federal Reserve, put the bankers in prison where they belong, end the endless illegal wars, put the DHS and TSA goons out of business, end the attack upon Americans via the NDAA and do anything to truly help the majority of people in America who are suffering or will you continue to enrich your friends? Will you inform Americans about global government and the New World Order and Agenda 21 or will you continue to keep Americans 'dumbed down' about what is really going on behind the scenes with groups such as Bilderberg and the Tri-Lateral Commission? Will you have Hillary Clinton arrested for allowing the false flag attack upon our embassy in Libya? Will you prosecute the Bush/Cheney crime family for allowing the attacks on 9/11? Will you attack the sovereign nation of Iran, a nation who has not attacked another country in over 250 years? Will you stop America's streak of starting new wars every few years? Will you put an end to the terror that America inflicts upon the rest of the world?

Mr. President, Please tell us why it is that you Debate like you are angery? Not ackowleging your Oppisistion with a look of intrest when he was talking? You both have different views, and that is expected, but to be rude is showing us the Voters what? Governor Romney was attentive to your comments, and gave you four extra minutes. There is an old saying that fits this occasion, " You never get a second chance to make a first impression " So why is it that you deliberitly ignored the questions, and gave no regard to the comments. Is it that your ideas are the only ideas? To Us the Voters there are many ideas about our current delimas, and not one that I heard was 'correct the situation with confusion'. Confusion can be an effective tool in politics, but only to those that need to follow regardless of where it leads them. So to sum up all that I have layed out, I ask yopu, Are you going to stay on track in the next Deabte?

What do you propose to do about the fiscal cliff, and possible increased inflation due to policies proposed by the Federal Reserve? If you believe as I do that we have a spending problem, then how can we cut 20% of our taxes, and at the same time, cut 20% of our spending?

Is Gold money? If so, why can't we print it, like we do US dollars, and if we do print 40 billion dollars, then does that not make our dollars worth significantly less?

I have a question for both candidates: if asked to respond to an inquiry without including a disquisition on how inept/misguided/ignorant/dangerous/stupid your opponent is--would you both be stricken dumb?

President Obama, You said "If you like your dr. and insurance, you will be able to keep them" Please tell all the senior citizens that are in a medicare advantage program that we will not lose our medicare coverage under this plan. Secondly, my family has worked a beef cattle ranch for over 40 years on inherited property that was valued at about $1,000,00. If the inheritance tax is increased as you have proposed, my sons would have to pay a 55% tax on property that we have already paid taxes on(which would mean they would have to sell part of the property) Please tell me why you think our hard work should be penalized this much.

Question for Obama, Do you think preparing for debates, campaigning heavily in your traveling, t.v. appearances kept you from making sure Sept. 11 attack and killing at our Benghazi embassy would not happen?
