The folks at K&B True Value Hardware know that some of the best projects are those you do yourself.
And they also know some of the best gifts are those made by loving hands.
That's why owner Jared Littmann is holding a Kids Club craft workshop leading up to Valentine's Day. Kids can head to the popular Forest Drive hardware shop and work on their own gifts for mom or dad.
The free workshop is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 11.
As part of the workshop, the kids can decorate one of the following:
- Teddy bear picture frames. This may be for the older kids since the process can be a little more difficult.
- A teddy bear with a magnet on the back.
- Assorted colored hearts.
- Heart scratch/etch design.
The kids can choose from assorted stamps and stickers for any of their decorations. There also will be material for the kids to make their own Valentine's Day cards, Littmann said.
"We also have bags for the kids to put them in when they're finished," he said in an email.
K&B also will be providing popcorn and juice boxes as snacks while the kids are working—not to mention a heart lollipop for a job well done.
