Man Robs CVS, Demands Prescription Medications

Police said a man stole controlled medication from a CVS in Annapolis early Sunday morning.

A man stole an undisclosed amount of prescription medications from the CVS on Riva Road early Sunday morning, according to an Anne Arundel County police release.

The pharmacist told police a man walked up to the counter at about 2 a.m. with a note that said he had a weapon. He demanded the pharmacist hand over specific medications. Police said the pharmacist complied, and the man ran out of the store.

Police are withholding the names of the controlled medications and the quantity that was stolen due to the ongoing investigation, according to the release.

County police searched the area with a K-9 unit, but they were unable to find the man.
