A 35-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back in the 1000 block of Tyler Avenue on Friday night, according to Annapolis police.

Officers were on patrol in the Robinwood community around 10:30 p.m. on Friday when a woman approached the car to report a stabbing.

Police said the man was only willing to give his name and date of birth. He didn't want to talk about where he was stabbed or who he was with. The man kept telling the officers he didn't know, according to police reports.

He was taken by ambulance to University of Maryland's Shock Trauma Center with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
