Newt Gingrich Makes Campaign Stop in Annapolis
West Annapolis business plays host to early morning fundraiser.
Newt Gingrich stopped by the Annapolis Sweet Shoppe in West Annapolis this morning for a private fundraiser.
The store, which opened in February, is owned by Susan Leonard of Annapolis, a former political strategist.
About 40 to 50 people attended the event.
Gingrich stayed for an hour before heading to the State House. As he departed the Annapolis Sweet Shoppe, the sight of Secret Service agents in the normally quiet West Annapolis neighborhood appeared to take some by surprise.

Pretty cool that a Presidential Candidate would make a stop in a small business like this. Having been in the Sweet Shoppe myself, I don't blame him!

How about "former" presidential candidate? Everyone recognizes that he's no longer running--except Newt.
