The Volunteer Center for Anne Arundel County is hosting its fourth annual Nite at the Races fundraiser at Loews Annapolis Hotel on Friday, according to a news release.

The night will feature horse racing shown on a large television screen, "betting windows" for play money and prizes, an open bar, light fair and a silent auction, the release states.

Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased by calling 410-897-9207 or visiting the volunteer center's website.

The center is also celebrating 10 years of connecting locals with volunteer opportunities in the community.

According to the release, for every $1 donated, the center gives back $20 worth of volunteer service to the community center.
