Summer is finally here, and with it comes summer races. Whether you're running a 5k or a marathon, drinking water from the designated stations can prove to be tricky.
I've run a few 5k races, and I'm always having to stop or slow down in order to stop myself from choking. Sometimes the water ends up all over me instead of in my mouth.
So, Rich Moran, manager of Charm City Run in Annapolis, showed me how to properly pick up a cup from the water table and drink without slowing down or stopping.
"I know people that are much faster than me that run like five and four minute miles, and they do this running at their pace," Moran said. "So, run for a slow pace like me it's a piece of cake."
