An accident reportedly involving one vehicle closed eastbound traffic lanes on Route 50 shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday.

The accident occurred past exit 21 for Interstate 97, according to the State Highway Association. The lane closure occurred near the exit for Route 665 for Aris T. Allen Boulevard, where the helicopter reportedly landed. Witnesses reported seeing at least one victim airlifted at the scene.

By 2 p.m., all lanes were reopened.
