Sly Fox Pub Closing Its Doors
The popular outdoor pub just off Church Circle in Annapolis will close forever this November.
Sly Fox Pub on Church Circle is going out of business, and its final night will be Nov 11.
The pub, which is best known for its popular outdoor beer garden, is located within Reynolds Tavern at 7 Church Circle.
Bar owners Andrew and Chris Fox opened Sly Fox in 2002. On Wednesday they announced their decision to close the bar on its Facebook fan page. The message reads as follows:
"As many of you know we are closing Sly Fox this year. Due to circumstances beyond our control we will close our doors in November. Thank You to all of the people who have made Sly Fox a staple in Annapolis and a place for locals to enjoy themselves. We love Sly Fox and hate to see it go, but until then we will enjoy it.
"Our closing weekend will be November 8-11th so please visit us before we close. It will be impossible to replace the feel and ambiance of Sly Fox, so we are opening a new subterranean gastropub on Main St in the coming months that will be called Fox's Den. More details for Fox's Den will follow, but for now let's say farewell to a great place closing before it's time."
-Andrew and Chris Fox

Can't say i am sorry to see it go. Maybe Chris can make another lame attempt at running for political office.

For those of you that don't remember, Sly Fox brought life and local celebration to Franklin Street. Prior to Chris and Andrew Fox working tirelessly to build a thriving business, the Franklin Street courtyard was dark and desolate and had been abandoned for years. It is a disappointment to see the Sly Fox go; however, the Foxes current and upcoming establishments will continue to provide excellent service and a local, fun and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for many years of fun and contribution to the city of Annapolis: financially, socially, environmentally, philanthropically and politically. In reference to the comments from "Safety First" and "Capt. Awesome", not sure why your panties are in such a bunch, but it is probably safe to say you were banned from Fox establishments due to your inappropriate behavior and comments, as Chris and Andrew have little tolerance for rude and disrespectful behavior.

Well said and much appreciated Birdseye!!!! We watched our brothers work around the clock with the number 1 priority of making sure evryone who visited the Sly fox Pub was warmly welcomed. The countless "charitable events" they hosted provided great relief for many struggling families and deserving charities. We wish them all the best in their new place.
