Town Hall Meeting Sold Out
Dr. Ben Carson, an accomplished physician and scientist, will speak about inspiring students.
Dr. Ben Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon, will address a sold-out crowd at 7 p.m. on Nov. 5 at Annapolis High School. Sponsored by the Y of Central Maryland, the event will be a town hall meeting where Carson will speak about his life experiences and then take questions from the audience.
The theme of the evening is "What If … Inspiring Students to Reach New Heights." Carson will help launch the Y's initiative in Anne Arundel County for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs.
The Y's website described Carson as a speaker: "His personal story of triumph over adversity is nothing short of inspiring. His commitment to motivating young people to achieve their very best and to pursue the science and math fields is unparalleled."
Proceeds from the event will support the Y's STEM program in the county.
