UPDATE: (2:50 p.m.) The Truxtun Park pool, located at 251 Pump House
Rd., is scheduled to reopen Wednesday morning after a broken drain
closed the pool all day Tuesday, according to a press release from the
city.

The drain caused the pool to leak, and city workers had to drain the
pool to fix it. Once repairs are completed Tuesday afternoon, the pool
needs to be filled, cleaned and the water chemistry balanced, officials said.

This will likely occur during the evening on Tuesday and continue into
early Wednesday morning.

City officials said they will send out another update if further repairs are necessary, or if other unforeseen complications occur.

Make-up sessions for Tuesday's missed classes at Truxtun Park Pool will be as follows:

• Morning swim lessons: 9:20 a.m. Friday.
• Evening swim lessons: 5:30 p.m. Aug. 14.
• Returning and beginning masters: TBD by coaches.
