2 Hospitalized After Collision on Route 50 Near Bestgate Road

A two-vehicle accident left two injured early Sunday morning, an official said.

 

Two victims were hospitalized after a vehicle collision on U.S. Route 50 near Bestgate Road in Annapolis early Sunday morning, a fire official said.

A 26-year-old male was transported with serious injuries to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore, and a second victim (age unknown) was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton.

The incident occurred on westbound Route 50 near Bestgate Road at about 2 a.m. Sunday, Hamilton said.

Another accident occurred on Route 50 at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday near Davidsonville Road. Five people were injured in that single-vehicle crash.
