Woman Dies after Being Injured in Accident on Route 50
An accident on the evening of Jan. 3 closed down Route 50 and two patients were transported to shock trauma by state police helicopter.
Two people suffered life threatening injuries on Monday after their vehicle rolled over and one person was ejected around 9 p.m on Route 50 west near I-97 south, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. Both east and westbound lanes of Route 50 were closed as state police landed a helicopter on the roadway at the scene of the accident to transport the patients — a 40-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man — to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
