Vehicle Theft Numbers Climb Over Weekend
Two instances of theft did not involve forced entry, police said.
Annapolis has suffered from a rash of vehicle thefts in the past month, and city police reported two additional thefts recently.
March 6-8—A pair of Tiffany sunglasses was stolen from the vehicle in the 800 block of Boucher Avenue. There was no sign of forced entry, according to a police report.
March 8-9—An HP laptop computer, prescription medication, and a CD case with approximately 100 discs was stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Americana Drive, in the Watergate Village apartment complex. There was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle, according to a police report.
The Annapolis Police Department is continuing to warn residents to lock their car doors.
