How about a Market House there, that should take no time to open!

As an Eastport resident for over 20 year, I would love to see it reopen as a movie theater. It would be wonderful to have a theater in Annapolis that showed independent and foreign films.

A nice inexpensive fire arms store would be great.

Move Bay Theatre into the space.

I'd love to see it open again as an independent movie theatre. I wonder if someone could team up with AFI to open one there? I think the residents of Eastport are continuing to grow as an eclectic (and in many cases youthful) bunch. I strongly suspect that the audience for an independent movie theatre in the area has increased. Also, it seems that with the advent of Netflix etc, people are now more aware of the wide array of independent films out there and they would truly enjoy the opportunity to see them in a theatre.

I'd like to see it a place with things to do like a moving the Children's Museum there or making it a teen center. Teens need safe fun places to hang out; it keeps them busy and out of trouble. You could have Xbox's, computers to do homework, pool tables, ping pong tables, yoga/dance room, college/trade school info, job boards for after school or weekend work, etc. The Pip Moyer center is nice, but it's not cheap and it would be nice to have a places targeted for teens use.

Ooo, how about an indoor mini golf place?

I, too, would like to see a movie theater that would show independent films and films not seen elsewhere. Perhaps it could also be used for local theater productions, maybe by schools and other organizations.

Just about anything short of another eatery. I too thought the very small live theater that is currently in the strip mall would do great there. It's already set up with the chairs and stage area's so it shouldn't be a significant cost. But I really do miss the old Movie Theater and would mind having one back ~ it's so close to home :)

I would love to see a living arts center: a venue for concerts, live jazz entertainment, dance performances, singers, live stage performances, a retracting projector screen for movie viewing, live singers and group singing activities (like Handel's Messiah during Christmas), speakers - like local celebrities speaking on their contribution to society, and lastly, a teaching area highlighting a specific art for a quarter culminating in a live performance, then a different art in the succeeding quarters.

I would actually love to see it be a movie theater again, updated and showing current films or as is and showing recent films at a low cost. But I also like the idea of live performances there as Kamar stated above and possibly serving wine as well during those performances. But please keep it a theater of some kind.

I completely respect all your opinons regarding having this space be a live or movie theater, I'd ask you to consider that Annapolis isn't that large a city and we do currently have options. We already have 2 movie theaters within 4 miles of one another, Colonial Players, the Summer Garden Theater, year round performances at Maryland Hall, and live Music at Rams Head, so to me, I question how well live theater would do there. BUT that being said, if it were to be a movie theater again, I would love to see it be a Cinema and Draft House like the one they have in Arlington, VA (http://arlingtondrafthouse.com/). I used to live near there and that place rocked! It was low key and a great date or hang out place. It would be awesome to have one here, too.

I would love to have it reopen as a movie theater showing foreign and independent films. When the theater shut down Bowtie promised to continue showing foreign and independent films and that hasn't happened. The shopping center owner apparently doesn't want to have a movie theater there but after sitting vacant for eight years obviously the movie theater could have just stayed open. I have to drive into D.C. or to Silver Spring or Bethesda to see any of the really good films. It didn't use to be a big deal but the metropolitan traffic is pretty much bad 24 hours a day. People used to come up from Southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore just to go to the Eastport movie theater. There are enough people in this area to support an independent and foreign film theater.

As a lil girl growning up i used to always go to movies wit my mom before she got disable so as im growning up in the habor house area i would LOVE to see it reopen for the fun times i know im only 19 1/2 years old but i will LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE to see it open again so me and my mom can just walk to the movies again an have that mother daughter bond time again please annapolis open your heart to this movie theater and look out for this pice of property

Bring back the movies! Or, a cinema/draft house type of movie theatre.
