Despite a little drizzle, kids and their families came out to Truxtun Park Sunday morning for the 2011 Truxtun Youth Triathlon, and on Monday we brought you the photos. In addition, we reported that a boater discovered human remains in the Chesapeake Bay and that Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold announced Friday that he asked the county council to reject the “pay increasesrecently approved by the Board of Education for its employees in fiscal year 2012. We also spoke to several BGCAA seniors as they prepare to start college this fall.

Tuesday, we updated you on the Aleph Bet construction project, reported on a fire on West Street and told you that the Annapolis City Council voted to approve an ordinance to raise water and sewer rates in the city of Annapolis.

Mid-week we got you ready for Eastport a Rockin' and gave you a roundup of upcoming family-friendly activities. In addition, we told you about the Summer Reading Program activities at the Annapolis Area Library branch of the Anne Arundel County Public Library.

Thursday, we told you about a couple bringing New York to Annapolis and brought you our weekly feature, Viewfinder. We also gave you tips for protecting your skin in the summer months.

Friday we gave you a roundup of area open houses, reported on a teen who died in a sailing accident in Annapolis and previewed the upcoming Irish Festival.
