25th Anniversary Vocal Competition
This marks the 25th year that Annapolis Opera’s Vocal Competition has given opera students and young professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region the opportunity to hone their craft by performing for a blue-ribbon panel of judges comprised of respected music educators and opera performers. The competition is fierce, with the eight finalists selected from more than 100 outstanding applicants! Prizes total more than $10,000, with each finalist receiving from $500 to $2,500
Semi-Finals : Saturday, April 27, 2013, 10:00am - 4:00pm
Opera lovers can hear all 30 semi-finalists vie for one of only eight Finalist spots.
Finals Concert: Sunday, April 28, 2013, 3:00pm
Hear opera stars of the future compete for over $10,000 in prizes and match wits with the judges with your vote for the Audience Choice Award winner.
Both events are at Maryland Hall for the Creative and are open to the public and FREE!, thanks to a generous grant from the Helena Foundation, James and Sylvia Earl.
APPLICATIONS: Applications will be available online in early 2013.

More About Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts
Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts is an arts center that provides the Annapolis community with education in visual and performance arts. The center offers classes for all ages in art, dance, drama, photography, yoga and Pilates. In addition, the center also puts on exhibitions and performances throughout the year that are open to the public. The center's gallery is also open to the public and features all types of art exhibits.
