5K Race to Stop the Bleeding is a chip-timed run and family fun walk fundraiser on behalf of the Hemophilia Foundation of Maryland, a non profit organization dedicated for improving the lives of persons with bleeding disorders. Thanks to our generous sponsors, 100% of your entry fee of $25 will go directly to the Hemophilia community.

Event begins at the Sassafras Pavillion. Give-a-ways, Children's Games, Food and Vendors Present. First 150 registered participants will receive a free event t-shirt. Complimentary lunch provided for all registered participants! Donations are accepted on site, with plenty of prizes to be won! Every $5 donations = 1 raffle ticket! Free parking is available in the park or just outside the entrance of the park (about 1 mile from th start of the event). Event will take place race or shine and is expected to conclude by 11:00 a.m. Cash prizes for top 3 overall male/female finishers. Awards for top 3 finishers within each age group male/female: 8-13, 14-19. 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over. Race Day Registration is $30. Must be in line for sign up by 8:15 a.m., or we can't gurantee your entry. Measured Course and Timing Provided by Bluepoint Timing.

More About Quiet Waters Park
Quiet Waters was a farm that was sold in 1987 to Anne Arundel County and opened as a park in 1990. Quiet Waters offers a host of activities for all interests with 6 miles of trails and 340 acres of gorgeous park land. Open seasonally, Paddle or Pedal offers hourly and daily rentals of kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, row boats, rowing shells and bicycles. There is a fee to enter the park (per vehicle) with discounts for the disabled. Annual and lifetime passes are also available. If you are looking for a place to hold a party, picnic, business meeting or wedding, Quiet Waters can accommodate this and more with pavilion rentals.
