Pi Day

601 Light St, Baltimore, MD | Get Directions »
FREE

Parents: round up the kids, set the coordinates for the Inner Harbor and factor in the Maryland Science Center’s party for Pi, the mathematical symbol for the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, Wednesday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (On 3/14, get it?)

Visitors can enjoy multiple activities, including a pie eating contest, a pi digit recitation contest, creating a numerical chain through the Maryland Science Center, and seeing Pi’s first 10,000 digits projected on the dome of the Davis Planetarium.

Guests will feast on delicious pie samples donated by Dangerously Delicious Pies, and Coal Fire Pizza will be demonstrating how high a pizza pi(e) can go!

And the Pi Day celebration is only a fraction of the party. It is also Einstein’s 133rd birthday and Albert will be honored with hair-raising experiments and a group singing of “Happy Birthday.”

Folks would have to be irrational to miss this day of fun. It’s guaranteed to be the most fun within a 50 mile radius and will strike the right chord with the entire family!

All events are free with paid admission to the Maryland Science Center. The Maryland Science Center is located at 601 Light Street at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
