Love is in the air when Live Arts Maryland presents Rodgers & Hammerstein's "A Grand Night for Singing." Featuring the Annapolis Chorale, members of the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra and a cast of five young singer/actors under the direction of Music Director J. Ernest Green, this unique show features 34 classic songs from all of Rodgers & Hammerstein's collaborations, including "The Sound of Music,""Oklahoma!" and "South Pacific."  They are interwoven with a love story that re-imagines the classic songs.  Joining Mr. Green for this production are Kimberly Christie, Catrin Davies, Tom Magette, Caitlin Vincent and Nathan Wyatt.  Friday’s Casual Friday event at 7:30 p.m. includes a question-and-answer session with the cast after the show.  Live Arts Maryland offers free student rush tickets a half hour before concerts to all full-time students with a valid ID or those under 18 years of age.

Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts is an arts center that provides the Annapolis community with education in visual and performance arts. The center offers classes for all ages in art, dance, drama, photography, yoga and Pilates. In addition, the center also puts on exhibitions and performances throughout the year that are open to the public. The center's gallery is also open to the public and features all types of art exhibits.
