It's the start of a new flu season. Have you had your vaccine yet?
The Anne Arundel County Department of Health is hosting free community walk-in clinics at Parole Health Center Mondays and Wednesdays.
The flu shot, nasal spray flu vaccine, high-dose flu shot for those 65 and older, and the pneumococcal vaccine are available at most clinics, according to a press release.
This year's flu could spread in unprecedented ways, because the CDC is no longer able to track it due to the federal government shutdown this week, according to NBC News.
The government organization's FluView surveillance system tracks the nation’s influenza ills, but has no funding, and hasn't been updated since the shutdown began Tuesday.
