How Can Annapolis Patch Improve in 2013?

What are some stories you would like to see Annapolis Patch cover in 2013?

As we enter a new year, I would like to know what things you would like to see Annapolis Patch improve on or do more of in 2013.

What local stories would you like see Patch cover? What stories have we done in the past that you would like me to follow-up on? Are their topics or types of stories that you want to see more of?

Annapolis Patch is a site that serves the community. So now is your chance to tell me how I can better serve you with new story ideas, suggestions for improvements or things you would like to see continue into the new year.

I'd also be curious to hear what you think could be done to improve our presence on Facebook and Twitter.

Sound off with your thoughts and opinions in the comments below, and I will do my best to fulfill them. And as always, you can email anna.staver@patch.com with story ideas and suggestions anytime.

Happy New Year, Annapolis!

Please stay focused on events, personal interest stories, family events, (fishing, sailing, art and crafts events, social events, fairs, festivals, gardening, fundraisers, local businesses like the wine restaurant, local gyms, health services and PLEASE steer away from crime reporting, salacious news, wild events that have turned all the other media into a wasteland of reading. Aim for uniqueness and quality FUN or helpful and newsy stories, and PLEASE DO NOT duplicate the cable TV, online panic reports, crime-driven, attention getting stories of the newspapers. Dale Read

How about more coverage of County non-profit groups to publicize their web pages and events. Would be helpful to the groups and provide events for readers to attend. For Examble, all the free programs that World Artists Experiences (www.worldartists.org) like the FREE January 7 Hong Kong Dancers at Maryland Hall.

Do not allow ANYONE to post a comment that bashes other comments by name-calling. Do not allow ANYONE to do name-calling about being a Republican or a Democrat or an Independent. Screen these kinds of comments and eliminate them. I have never seen so many in the past year as on the Patch sites.
