The National Weather Service is expecting 5 to 10 inches of snow in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Sunday night and Monday. So, what does that mean for schools?

Here's part of the timeline for deciding whether to delay or cancel classes, from the district website:
By 4:45 a.m.: Information about road and school lot conditions, along with an assessment of the forecast, is used to form a recommendation that is made to the superintendent. This is imperative so that, when conditions warrant, we can prevent buses from leaving bus lots.
4:50 a.m.: Media outlet notifications begin; website/Facebook/Twitter postings of any delay or closure take place; and email/text message notifications to parents and staff are done.
5:30 a.m.: Automated telephone message to parents and employees begins.
