Chesapeake Harmony Offers ABC’s of A Capella
Learn more about this wildly popular music genre sweeping the Nation!
Chesapeake Harmony Chorus Chapter of Sweet Adelines International will offer an introduction to singing four-part a capella music on Wednesday, July 11, beginning at 7PM. The two-hour class will be held at the Severna Park branch of the Anne Arundel County Library, 45 West McKinsey Road in Severna Park.
Under the guidance of Tancey Bosna, Chesapeake Harmony’s multiple award-winning Director, and with
demonstrations from chorus members, you will learn what makes a capella music one of the most popular,
fastest-growing musical artforms in the world, spawning television shows like The Sing-Off, Duet, and more.
Chesapeake Harmony is one of the hundreds of Sweet Adelines International choruses that make up this
worldwide organization of women who sing four-part a capella harmony in the barbershop style. Any woman of average singing ability, with or without vocal training, is
welcome to attend open rehearsals.
The chorus performs regularly throughout the community, offering its talent for entertainment at civic events and charitable functions, in addition to promoting harmony and friendship among women.
