The head chef of a prestigious restaurant in Alexandria hopes to start up a new restaurant in downtown Annapolis featuring local flavors.
Restaurant Eve's Chef de Cuisine, Jeremy Hoffman, is leaving his place of business in Alexandria to forge new tastes with his wife in Annapolis, according to The Washington Post.
Hoffman, 29, has been impressing patrons of Restaurant Eve since he started there three years ago.
The Hoffmans plan to start Preserve, what The Post called "a super casual" American restaurant in Annapolis, at the site of the former Aqua Terra at 164 Main Street. The Preserve, tentatively titled, will feature preserved, local fruits and vegetables, according to The Post.
The two-story building the Hoffmans will soon be renovating has been vacant since Aqua Terra closed in April 2012.
