In an effort to recognize the best pizza-making teams in the company, Papa John's hosts an annual international competition. This year's winner in the east division: our very own Beach Boys Pizza team, representing stores in Annapolis and southern Maryland.
The local franchise, co-owned by operating partner Ray Sears of Annapolis and led by area supervisors John Krueter and Chris Swift, won the east division trials over other teams from Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York.
Team members John "JP" Page and Kirnell Wallace will advance to the nationals in Louisville, KY, next month. The international finals of the Papa John's Pizza Games will be held in Orlando, FL, in March 2014.
The Papa John’s Pizza games are held annually in an effort to showcase the best pizza-making teams based on factors such as fastest pizza making, ability to meet high standards and follow procedures, amount of time in the oven, and overall quality.
