Annapolis, MD - Councilman Jerry Walker of Anne Arundel County Council (District 7) will present a citation to the Annapolis Offices at Bestgate and the Annapolis Business Accelerator™ at their grand opening on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 4-7pm. Madison Fredericks, a student from Southern High School participating in the Anne Arundel County Model Government Program, will also accompany Councilman Walker in an inspection of this innovative and unique addition to the Annapolis business scene.
The Accelerator and Offices at Bestgate concepts represent a creative and lightning-fast adaptive use of the former Maryland Higher Education Headquarters. The Maryland Higher Education Commission left abruptly, with little notice, several months ago, and work began immediately on transforming the space to become a magnet for growth-hungry small businesses and start-ups in Maryland.
