Sweet Hearts Patisserie Celebrates Grand Opening

The bakery at Clock Tower Place promises a taste of France in Annapolis.

Macaroons, petit fours, cake pops—these are just a few of the delecatable offerings at a new Annapolis bakery.

Sweet Hearts Patisserie celebrated its grand opening on Saturday morning at 1410 Forest Dr. in Clock Tower Place, according to a news release.

"As the name might suggest, there is a lot of love that goes into each and every pastry at Sweet Hearts," said Kristen D'Angelo, owner and pastry chef, in the release. "My philosophy is that it is always better to enjoy a small bite of something heavenly than it is to eat way too much of something that is just OK. That is the basis of all my creations, and I hope that every person who eats one my pastries enjoys it thoroughly."

The French-themed pastry shop also operated as a catering company.

Sweet Hearts is open Monday though Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. A full menu and prices can be found on the company's website.

"All of our pastries at Sweet Hearts Patisserie are made with the highest quality all natural ingredients, such as fresh farmers market fruits, Barry Callebaut Belgian chocolate, European butter, and fresh eggs and cream," the website states. "We never use preservatives or additives and all items are flavored with real fruits and nuts."

Kristen D'Angelo, I think! Everything I've had there has been delicious. You can put together a beautiful and delicious dessert plate for a dinner party without breaking the bank, or just pick up a baguette or grab a cup of coffee. So happy to have this addition to Clock Tower Place!

No, thank you for featuring this yummy spot -- and so nice to see a woman-owned business featured as well!
