St. John’s College tutor Michael Grenke will give a lecture titled “What Will Heaven Be Like?” at St. John’s College. Grenke’s lecture will explore Anton Chekhov's 1892 short story, “In Exile,” and other works, including C. S. Lewis's novella “The Great Divorce,” to consider the idea of Heaven. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Friday, January 18, at 8 p.m.

Grenke received his BA from the University of Chicago and his PhD from Boston College. He was a visiting assistant professor in political science at Michigan State University before he joined the St. John’s faculty in 1997.
